India accused Pakistan of Uri attack only to defame it: Nisar

ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has rejected Indian allegations of Uri attack, saying that India accused Pakistan only to defame it.

Talking to media here Friday, Chaudhry Nisar said, “India started accusing Pakistan of Uri attack without investigation even the assault was not over.”

“Pakistan cannot initiate any investigation of the attack because India itself does not have any evidence for it,” Nisar said.

“When Indian lies were exposed, it placed restrictions or censorship on the media," said Nisar, referring to reports of the Indian Ministry of Defence ordering media to 'pre-verify' news related to the Indian army.

Nisar said Pakistan will send reference to Interpol over Baloch exiled leader Brahamdagh Bugti, who had filed asylum in India.

The minister lauded ‘bold’ steps of MQM Pakistan leader Dr Farooq Sattar, saying no one even could think MQM founder Altaf Hussain’s own party would stand against him.

“We should give space to the people who stood against those who raised anti-Pakistan slogans,” he added.
