Sindh to improve education system from primary to university

KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has said that he was trying to improve over all education system right from primary to university level and to make the boards efficient in taking examination and declaring results.

“I know there are lots of problems in education system working in public sector but my government is taking drastic measures to improve the system.” He said while talking to media at Bahadurabad where he went to visit Science Exhibition organised in foundation's public school today.

He said that he had declared emergency in education sector with the objective to improve performance of schools, colleges and universities operating in public sector along with developing communication skills of teaching staff. “Yes, there are some important positions vacant in universities, boards and directorates which would be filled shortly,” he said.

Murad said that only punctuality of teaching staff not enough but their [teachers] capacity building is badly required and “we have to inculcate their [teachers] willingness to involve themselves in teaching process for which civil society, our educationalist and media have to play their respective role vigorously,” he said.

Earlier, the chief minister received by Chairman Engro and Dawood Foundation Hussain Dawood when he reached their Foundation school at Bahadurabad. He visited the stall set up by students for Magnificent Science Exhibition in the school and stalls of 28 different companies set up in the courtyard of the school.

He visited a stall where coal energy was being generated and he showed his interest. He also showed his great interest in solar-energy car. The chief minister told that the company can produce buses for public transport on solar energy. “This would be very good to control environmental pollution in the city.”
