PM denies Kabul attack remarks

ISLAMABAD: The Prime Minister’s House on Monday rejected remarks attributed to PM Shahid Khaqan Abbassi regarding the involvement of Pakistanis in an attack in Afghanistan.

“The remarks are simply baseless and have no reference to discussions with any media person,” the Prime Minister’s Office said in a statement.

“I don’t know all the details, but it seems three or four people crossed over the border. There was a vehicle which travelled from that area to Kabul and was parked in an embassy compound before it blew up,” the prime minister was quoted as saying by the Financial Times.

However, the PM House said, Abbasi has repeatedly argued that attacks in Pakistan are being orchestrated from across the border.
