Qurbani in
Aceh

may be of interest to the readers)
It would be addressing a very
real need if you could request your colleagues
and mosques in the USA to do their qurbani in
Aceh this year. The refugees in the camps are
getting rice and instant noodles but very little
protein. They have not eaten meat since the tragedy
of December 26 struck them. The forthcoming Eid
is a golden opportunity to fill this gap in their
diet at least temporarily. Qurbani in Aceh would
cost $100 for a share of a buffalo or cow.
You could send the money to the Malaysian charity
which is already operating in Aceh and they will
ensure that the qurbani is distributed to the
needy in the camps. The account details are as

For your information the toll in Aceh is over
100,000 but could reach between 500,000 and 1
million. Hope you can help bring some bliss on
the occasion of Eid for these unfortunate people.

initiate a long-term sustainable relief effort
for orphans and others affected by the tsunami
tragedy in the area.
