Bombings & the Gathering Storm

The explosions in London are
just the beginning of a firestorm that may devour
the Pakistanis living abroad sooner than maybe
later. Seems like the Pakistanis are still not
getting the message that is coming across from
the West.
The truth of the matter is that Pakistanis must
realize that there are foreign terrorists who
are bent upon destroying the infrastructure of
Iraq for their personal gains just like those
who want to destroy Afghanistan. These misguided
souls - whether they are Jordanians, Egyptians,
Iranians, Pakistanis, or Sudanese - have no love
lost for the Iraqi civilians in Iraq or for the
Afghani civilians in Afghanistan or for their
brethren living in Britain, USA or anywhere else.
These people may have their personal vendettas
against the Americans, but in their zeal and extremist
practices they are bent upon destroying Iraq and
Afghanistan. They do not care for anyone. Theirs
is not a struggle for freedom but an enforcement
of tyranny. These people are not the protectors
of Islam, these people are not the role models
that the Pakistani youth should follow. Most of
them are the rejected lot of their own societies.
Their own nations do not own them and would rather
keep them under confinement or let them go out
of the country to do their act elsewhere.
The Pakistani masses need to send out a signal
to the world with a very strong and loud condemnation
of suicide bombings and car bombs that are taking
place around the globe just as president Musharraf
has done and continues to do. Pakistanis need
to stand up and tell the preachers who are spreading
hate to change their course. Sitting down and
not saying anything during a sermon is not going
to do us any good at all if we condemn these actions
in our hearts and let the preachers spew out venom
in the minds of our young ones.
We all have struggled very hard to be where we
are now, we all have worked very hard to create
a positive image of our motherland in the countries
we have made our home, we all have worked very
hard to bring about a positive change in our motherland.
It is our duty and moral obligation to stand up
and be protectors of the state that we reside
in. We cannot shut our eyes from the truth any
longer. We need to tell the misguided souls that
their unwarranted adventurous acts are putting
the Muslim community globally in deep trouble
and making life more and more arduous and difficult.
