Cell Phones
in Haram Sharif

The
use of mobile phones in Haram Sharif must be disallowed.
There is a pressing need for installing a jamming
system in the premises of the holy places in Mecca
and Madina. There should be no disturbance from
distracting musical tones and ringing cell phones.
Pilgrims do use mobile phones during the Tawaf
of Kaba, Saee (between Saffa and Marwah) and Roza-e-Rasool
(Peace Be Upon Him) which in my view is not in
accordance with the call of propriety and is tantamount
to a a show of lack of respect for the holy places.
I humbly request for an early and effective step
in this regard. May Allah help you and guide us
all.
