WHO, Health Ministry set up early warning system.
So says a news item.
The fact of the matter is that an Early Warning
System (EWS) was established by the ministry of
health in NIH in 1999 with the cooperation of
the WHO. It has been working effectively to check
the outbreak of communicable diseases since its
inception. Recently, it was renamed as the Disease
Early Warning System (DEWS).
