Don’t
Belittle the Historic Achievement

It is unfortunate that even
58 years after the establishment of the independent
and sovereign state of Pakistan, people like Mr
UsmanSher and many of his fellow Indian Muslims
are still arguing against that historic achievement
of ours. They are still bemoaning the division
of ‘their country,’ a country in which
they never had any political voice or power. A
country in which they were just bystanders at
the mercy of the majority dreaming of the times
long gone.
It is time that this group comes to grips with
political realities and stops bad mouthing Pakistan,
the only country in the world that has welcomed
them with open arms regardless of their ethnic
origin or racial background.
