No Human Rights
for Muslims?

Through your newspaper I would like
to air my anguish and anxiety on the violation
of human rights of Muslims by occupation forces
and the total inability of Muslims to protect
themselves.
At the slightest pretext, Israelis enter Gaza
and the West Bank, kidnap and kill Palestinians,
and there is not even a whimper of protest from
any Muslim country, except from Iran and occasionally
from Turkey. India continues to wantonly kill
Muslims in Kashmir without remorse and human rights
bodies watch in silence. All these happenings
strengthen my belief that Muslims no longer have
any rights, not even for self-preservation.
Lamentably. OIC remains an inert organization
of 56 Islamic countries; it has no voice; nobody
recognizes it, and nobody pays any attention to
it. It is expected to take a strong position and
play its due role in protecting the human rights
of Muslims.
