of Nuclear Fission and Nuclear Holocaust in the
Qur’an

The
Qur’anic scripture touches upon every aspect
of human life. It guides humanity on to the path
of righteousness, yet there is hardly any natural
phenomenon which is not described clearly and
in great depth.
The greatest feat, so far, of the world scientists
is their success in smashing atomic particles
into subatomic particles and releasing tremendous
amounts of energy and radiation, which has been
harnessed as a source of energy for civilian and
industrial use, or is used to wreak nuclear holocaust,
wiping out entire cities and their population!
Amazingly the Qur’an very accurately describes
that when the atoms are smashed into subatomic
particles they release intense radiation and heat.
The verses are:
“Woe to every backbiter, slanderer, who
amasses wealth and counts it over and over.
He imagines that his wealth will make him immortal.
Nay! He shall surely be cast into the “hotamah”
And what should make thee know what the “hotamah”
is?
Allah’s fire as preserved fuel, which will
leap suddenly by onto the hearts.
It is locked up in outstretched pillars to be
used against them”. Qur’an 104/2-10.
These Qur’anic verses are packed with astounding
statements which lay beyond the comprehension
of the people of the bygone era.
WHAT IS HOTAMA
“Hotama” means the tiniest of particles.
Authentic Arabic lexicons describe “hotama”
as possessing two root meanings; first, “hotama”,
to pound or pulverize into extremely small particles
– perfect description of smashing the atom!
The second is “hitamah” which means
the smallest insignificant particle – a
perfect description of atomic sub-particles.
Explaining the word “hotamah,” the
Qur’an speaks of a blazing fire built within
it and confined in extended columns. It also declares
that when a person is cast into it, this fire
will directly leap upon his heart without burning
the rib cage. This only means that this fire will
be of quite a different nature. This verse perfectly
describes the radiation generated from the smashed
atoms.
What follows this verse is even more surprising:
this fire has been mentioned as having been locked
up in outstretched columns waiting to leap upon
man till such time as it is destined to be unleashed.
The profound accuracy of these verses has been
realized only in the contemporary age. When the
fire - comprising X-ray neutrons gamma ray and
intense heat - contained in the smallest particles
leaps out and engulfs large areas extending thousands
of square miles, destroying everything that lies
in its path.
Qur’anic expression of ‘extended columns’
can be explained by the description of the nuclear
experts as a state of critical mass which is about
to explode, as something elongating and pulsating
with intense pressure built within it. This pressure
is caused by the elongation of the nuclei before
they burst and in that process an element of high
atomic weight is split into elements of lesser
atomic weights. At the instant of explosion, large
quantities of gamma rays, neutrons and X-rays
are released with intense heat. This entails mushroom
shaped white cloud of radiation and heat. The
Qur’an has given the description of this
radioactive cloud in the following verses:
“Now move towards what you have been denying,
move towards a three-pronged shadow, neither affording
shade nor protection from the blaze.
It throws up clouds like huge castles,
As though the castles were dusky yellow camels.”
Qur’an 77/30-34.
Shadows in reality provide relief and shelter,
but in this verse only fire is mentioned, from
whose blast the shadow of their cloud affords
no protection. On the contrary, this cloud emits
torment of the fire. Nothing under its shadow
is safe. What a perfect description of the atomic
bomb explosion it is!
The Qur’an has given a firm warning of the
radiation holocaust in the following verses:
“Then watch for the day when the sky will
bring forth a manifest smoke.
That will cast a shadow upon people. This will
be painful suffering.” Qur’an 44/11-12.
Amazingly, physicists have discovered the tiniest
particles very recently called antineutrons –
elusive particles 500,000 times smaller than an
electron.
These particles were discovered by very highly
sophisticated monitors underneath a mountain in
Kamioke, Japan by an 85-member team led by physicists,
Giorgio Gratta of Stanford and Atsuto Suziki of
Japan’s Tohoku University.
These antineutrons – the smallest particles
are created by radioactive fires, or nuclear fission,
deep within the earth. These radioactive fires
generate heat below Earth’s crust and cause
the movement of tectonic plates. (Ref. St. Louis

It is astounding to realize that the divinely
revealed Holy Qur’an to Prophet Hazaret
Mohammad s.a.w. about fifteen hundred years ago,
very accurately describes subatomic particles,
nuclear fission and nuclear holocaust.
