Who to Thank?

General Musharraf repeated his earlier
rhetoric in Mansehra the other day when he asked
the public to vote for his supporters. Interestingly,
this time he went one step further by equating
all his opponents as ‘militants. This time,
he drew a convoluted line on the messy board of
militarized democracy by dividing the public into
'militants' and 'non-militants'. I don’t
know whether to thank him for taking political
sides or the Supreme Court for keeping quiet about
it.
