Zardari as President
By Dr. A Khan
Chicago, USA

Mr. Zardari’s recent statement that the promises and accords are not Hadith or Qur’an, which cannot be changed, is an example of his mental attitude and caliber. Had Mr. Zardari attended his classes at Petaro Cadet College he could have learned the importance of keeping one’s promises and accords as stressed in Hadiths and the Qur’an. Since Mr. Zardari did not receive any formal education at college level, he should mind his P’s and Q’s.
It appears that the sympathy vote Mr. Zardari got on February 18 as result of the tragic death of Ms. Benazir Bhutto has induced dementia in him, as he has forgotten about his past life of mega corruption, which earned him the title of Mr. Ten Percent. Now by becoming President he thinks he could get away clean.
If one Googles the phrase “Zardari Corruption” the query results in  a plethora of information about his corruption episodes. With billions of dollars of ill-gotten wealth stashed away in western and Dubai banks, Mr. Zardari has the audacity to declare that he is the candidate for the President of Pakistan. Now he wants to become Mr. Hundred Percent! The country’s economy presents a dismal picture and yet Mr. Zardari’s dollar transfers to Dubai continue to mount.
The President’s office is an office of public trust, By reneging his promises during past few months Mr. Zardari has demonstrated that he cannot be trusted! How could a person who has been involved in crimes of massive proportions be allowed to become the President? Mr. Zardari is a risk for the security and economy of Pakistan. Does he not remember his famous remark of  the 1990s: “Hum’main Hakoomat Rajeev Ghandi nay dilai  hay!”
