The Responsibility of the Upper Class

Patriotism of Pakistanis could be tested any where in the world by asking them to help their country in rainy days but what about the super class of people (rich fuedals, industrialists, drug lords and above all, the politicians who successfully run the highly profitable business of politics in Pakistan.

The estimated rate of profit in Pakistani politics is 1000 to million per cent: the precise details can be worked out by the politicians’ mounting wealth.

The majority of Pakistanis living abroad are labor class and highly skilled professionals. Nobody give them money for nothing. They have to work hard for it. Some of them are businessmen who also work very hard to earn their fortune. No favor or nepotism is shown in the open markets of the world.

I have lived and worked in the Middle East and visited Europe. I have been living in the USA for the last 10 years and found the average Pakistani more patriotic than the upper class of the country. We are ready to come forward again and will help/invest in the country but the upper class should be stopped from taking national wealth abroad and should be forced to save and invest in the country.

The two richest groups of politicians in power in the country today should provide the major share of investment instead of going abroad with a begging bowl. The richest nations have not become  rich by begging but by sheer hard work. The Pakistan  upper class should go and observe how hard  the Chinese work. They should  come to  the USA and observe how people work and live here.

The government of Pakistan should immediately issue foreign currency investment bonds that offer a good rate of return which is  better than IMF and World Bank.  Pakistanis abroad will support such a government initiative.
