“The international community has agreed to provide $4 billion that Pakistan needs to avoid bankruptcy, but in return Islamabad will have to undertake a series of painful economic reforms. US and diplomatic sources in Washington told Dawn that Pakistan had started negotiating various arrangements with international financial institutions and friendly nations soon after it realized that it might have to default on its payments if not helped.” So says a report in Dawn.

When the country’s financial condition is so critical, as indicated in the news, how could anyone think of grandiose plans to use wind energy and bio-fuels that require infusion of large funds in order to get started and the consumers not expected to see any ‘electron’ for at least seven years.

The best course of action under these circumstances is to use Solar PV Energy and Conservation concepts that will empower every citizen to at least get ‘light’ and ‘water’ in their reservoirs mounted on their roof tops (and farmers for agriculture).

This will make life a bit easier for ‘all’ to move ahead.
