Pakistan Needs a PTI-MQM Alliance

Success is a great deodorant. It takes away all your past smells. At his playing time Imran Khan was one of the most successful captains. A key to his string of successes was the support he got from Javed Miandad. Without Javed’s heroic performances, Pakistan could not have won the World Cup.

No captain can win without the support of his team. Politics too is like a sport: a single person cannot win elections. The one-man-show does not work. In the mid-90s Imran Khan joined politics but so far he cannot win the political ground. He is a failed politician. There are many factors behind his failure; one important cause is the “One Man Show”.

He talked about middle class leadership but where is the middle class leadership in his own party. He talked about team work but his party has lack of team work. In past he criticized Musfraf regime and put his effort to remove Mushraf and raised the slogan for the democracy but at the time of election he boycotted the election. It shows that Imran Khan needs some good political guidance.

My advice to Imran Khan is to form alliance with Muttahida Quami Movement and run the political show. With the Guidance of MQM leadership Imran Khan could be successful in Pakistan political system. Imran Khan admitted many times that in Pakistan politics only MQM brought his leadership from the middle class. MQM Chief Altaf Hussain or any of his relatives are not the part of any assembly ever. There is a definite possibility that MQM supports Imran Khan in the upcoming elections. I am sure once Imran Khan joins the hands of Altaf Hussain, this political alliance will win the political world cup and solve the problems of the nation as a team. MQM had proved many times in urban Sindh that they have ability to change the world. Ex Mayor of Karachi Mustafa Kamal is an example. Without MQM he could have never been a Mayor of Karachi. Everyone has agreed that he has done many good things for Karachi. MQM’s disciplined workers were the key to Mustafa Kamal’s success. Without MQM workers’ support he could not have won the election or performed well as a Mayor.

If Imran Khan will become Chief Minister of Punjab or Prime Minister of Pakistan, he could provide justice to the people. He could do many other good things which he cannot do by sitting outside the ground. In the current scenario it’s hard for Imran Khan to win the political race in Punjab against Sharif & Choudary families. Time waits for no one.  Imran Khan is not as young as before, he already crossed 50 years and has very short time to perform well for his country. I humbly request our ex cricket hero Imran Khan to join MQM and save Pakistan from landlords, Choudries and corrupt businessmen.
