President Obama and Steve Jobs

Islam is a complete way of life and offers step by step instructions and guidance from birth to death and also from the morning when we wake up till the time we go to sleep at night. Islam recognizes the individual's rights and also has prescribed responsibilities for each and every member of the family. Needless to say, it places great emphasis and importance on raising children as a Muslim. Islam prefers Muslim men to marry Muslim women. However, it does permit Muslim men to marry women from the people of the Book as long as they would raise their children as Muslim. On the other hand, Muslim women are prohibited to marry non-Muslim men mainly because they may be forced to raise non-Muslim children.

The f athers of both President Obama and Steve Jobs were Muslim. Barack Hussein Obama Sr., father of President Obama, was from Kenya, Africa. Abdulfattah John Jandali, father of Steve Jobs, was from Syria. Both  had a son from their non-Muslim American spouses. When President Obama and Steve Jobs were born in the United States, unfortunately, both fathers neglected and failed miserably in handling their parental responsibilities to raise their offspring as a Muslim and left that crucial responsibility to their spouses. Steve Jobs’ mother gave him up for adoption right after his birth. Steve Jobs was disgusted with his biological parents. When he grew up, he cared less for Islam or Christianity and became a Buddhist.  In contrast, Obama's mother took good care of him. Since a mother is the most important person in the life of a child in nurturing his/her habits, behavior and personality, Obama followed his mom very closely and adopted her religion of Christianity.

It was already written that Barack Hussein Obama was destined to become the 44th President of the United States of America and that is why he became our President. Had the fathers of both Obama and Steve done a good job raising them and keeping them on course as Muslim, both great Americans, President Obama and Steve Jobs could have brought immense glory to Islam in America and also in the whole world.

President Obama would have become not only the first black President, but also the first Muslim President of our great country, the United States of America. I hope we all learn a good lesson from this reality of life and pay special attention to the nurturing of our loving children, the most precious gift of Almighty Allah.
