Creed for Success

After reading –and digesting- works of many famous, motivational writers, I have come to the conclusion that, besides other factors, there are two very important character traits needed to achieve success in life. These are courage and self confidence.
Courage: Mental courage: We must have enough mental courage to over-ride all seeming obstacles that pop up frequently in our everyday life, and to hold fast to our goal, no matter what may come. We should never be afraid of any situation or any person, and be willing to go ahead and follow our objective.
Physical courage: We must utilize our energy to the full in every task we undertake. Physically, we should be ‘on the go’ to fetch every opportunity that seem to lurk ahead.
Spiritual courage: We must cultivate a deep-rooted faith in God, and believe that things are always happening for our betterment. In life we never know what is in store for us the very next moment. Instead of fearing the worst to happen in that moment, we should have enough faith to believe that something good is going to happen to us. True, there are sure to be disappointments in life, for there is no favorite with God, but it is also true that situations and circumstances will arise out of nowhere to take us on the success. We may think that a miracle has happened, but actually this success is the outcome of our positive thoughts, sincere efforts and the help of God.
Self Confidence: We have to build our self confidence to such an extent that we should feel ourselves to be a master in every situation, and are equal, on the level of humanity, to any individual we come across. We must believe, without hesitation, that we can achieve any attainable goal we have chosen.
With courage and self confidence we can get anything we believe we can!
The other factors which help are Hard work: We must be ready to work hard to the best of our abilities – and love doing it. If we do anything grudgingly, we will surely get frustrated. Prayers: This is the one factor which can bring unbelievable turns in life. It is believed that even one’s destiny can be changed with prayers. Dennis Kimbro, a noted inspirational writer, says: Prayer is a force as real as terrestrial gravity; it is the only power that overcomes the laws of Nature. Prayers, in order to be effective, must be sincerely offered in a way that would be a direct communication of our conscious and subconscious mind with the Almighty. It should always be offered with a positive frame of mind.
Luck: One in a million can get really lucky to achieve success through mere luck. How lucky can we be is really a mystery. Perhaps the matter of luck is like the wheel of fortune which moves on and targets one in a million. So, for our purpose of attaining success, this aspect should be over-ridden. We must never wait for the day when the wheel of fortune targets us.
