Exhibition Spotlights
‘African American Muslims in Early America’
The Smithsonian's Anacostia Museum and Center for African
American History and Culture has a temporary exhibit, entitled,
"Forgotten Roots: African American Muslims in Early
America."
The exhibition is curated by Amir Muhammad, a long-time
Islamic historian, internationally-published poet, author
of Muslims in America: Seven Centuries of History and founder
of the Collections and Stories of American Muslims (CSAM).
