MoneyGram Offers No-Fee Service to Send Donations toTsunami Victims

Minneapolis, Minn: MoneyGram is making its money transfer network in the US available for sending donations to the American Red Cross to help victims of the earthquake and tsunamis this week in Asia. MoneyGram has money transfer agents in many of the impacted areas, but consumers who want to send money to family and friends in the disaster areas are advised to call 1-800-MoneyGram or 1-800-926-9400 to find out which agent locations are open and able to disburse funds. To make a no-fee donation to the Red Cross, go to a MoneyGram agent location and tell the agent you wish to send a donation to Red Cross Tsunami via MoneyGram ExpressPayment (Receive Code 3998). Save the receipt for proof of the charitable contribution. MoneyGram will keep this service available until January 31, 2005.
