Intensive Course on
Allama Iqbal
PFCC is pleased to announce an intensive course on Allama
Iqbal. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to learn
about Allama Iqbal, the poet, thinker, philosopher, humanist
and reformer and about his poetry and philosophy.
Course study: (Pre-requisite knowledge of Urdu and understanding
of Urdu poetry) Professor: Ahsan Syed, “Adeeb-e-Kamil”
(M.A.), Aligarh Muslim Univ.
Location: MCA, 3003, Scott Blvd, Santa Clara, California.
Duration: 14 weeks, 3/12/2005 through 6/25/2005 off 2 weeks
in May Time: Saturdays: 10:30 to 12:30 (thru April 2 then
11 to 1pm)
Fee: $ 150 for the entire course, ($200 per couple)
$20 per session (if available)

*Mr. Ahsan Syed was born and raised in Hyderabad, India.
He is the son of late Dr. Syed Abul Fazl, Professor of Arabic,
Osmania University. He received his engineering degree from
Osmania University and also “Adeeb-e-Kamil”
(M.A.) from Aligarh Muslim University. Mr. Ahsan came to
the US in 1967 and completed M.S in Structural Engineering
from the Mississippi State University. He worked in Pittsburgh,
PA and Cleveland until 1982. He also worked in Saudi Arabia
for five years before finally moving to the Bay Area in
1987. He has served on the board of MSA, MCA and IMRC and
has a deep passion, among other things, for Urdu language.
He taught Urdu at Canada College and at the MCA. He is currently
working in San Francisco. CO-SPONSORS: United Muslims of
