Dr. Raza Bokhari Receives
Philadelphia Journal's 'Award
Washington, DC : Dr. Raza Bokhari, a noted
Pakistani American, Tuesday received the Philadelphia Business
Journal's '40 under 40' Philadelphia Award.
He was chosen out of 200 professionals as one of the region's
most accomplished young professionals by the Philadelphia
Business Journal and the Fox School of Business and Management,
of Temple University.
The selection was based on "demonstration of leadership
ability, business success, community or civic activities and
overall regional impact."
Dr. Raza Bokhari is President and CEO Lakewood Pathology Associates
& Parkway Clinical Laboratories.
Mr. Mohammad Sadiq, Deputy Chief of Mission, Pakistan Embassy,
attended the ceremony, and congratulated Dr. Raza Bokhari
on the achievement. He said the success of the Pakistani-American
community largely depends upon the achievements of young entrepreneurs.
"We are proud of the emerging leadership of the Pakistani
American community.
"Dr. Bokhari is one of the rising stars. He achieved
success through dedication, hard work and honesty."
"He is well respected in the ethnic community, and broader
society."
DCM Sadiq said Dr. Bokhari achieved success at a comparatively
young age and is an example of Pakistan entrepreneurship and
hard work and we are proud of him."
The dean and publisher of Philadelphia Journal presented him
the award. The citation acknowledged that Pakistani-Americans
make up a hard working community. "In addition to his
success in business, Dr. Bokhari has contributed handsomely
towards activism in Pakistani Americans."
