Pak Independence Day
in LA on Aug 12
Los Angeles, CA: The
Pakistani-American community in the Los Angeles area will
celebrate the Pakistan Independence Day on August 12 at
two locations.
One of the functions will be held at the Exposition Park
(South Lawn), Exposition Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90037. The
program will begin at 2 pm and continue till midnight. California
Governor or his representative, Sheriff Lee Baca, diplomats,
and a large number of dignitaries are expected to attend.
Abrar-ul Haq, Rahim Shah and several other well-known artists
will perform at the function which is being organized by
Friends of Pakistan, ARY and several prominent community

Another Independence Day celebration is being held at Whittier
Narrows Park, 1600 Rosemead Blvd, S El Monte, CA 91733.
A large number of distinguished guests are expected to attend.
The program will start at 12 noon. Faakhir and his group
along with other famous singers will perform. The function
is being organized by Council of Pakistan American Chamber
of Commerce, Safeer-e-Pakistan, Karachi Club, Urdu Writers
Society, Pakistan Arts Council and others. For more information
