Weekly AMA TV Program
“Insha Allah, the Bridges
TV channel will start airing AMA’s weekly news analysis
program – Global Forum – by Sept 12,”
says a message received from AMA’s Chair, Dr Agha
Saeed.
The message adds: We have built our own studio, bought our
own equipment, and assembled and trained our own volunteer
staff. However, we still need to take care of some final
details. That’s why we need your financial help with
the last leg of this effort.
AMA’s upcoming Television program, Global Forum, focused
on major world issues, and interviewing honest and respected
American thinkers like Findley, McCloskey, Bonior, Chomsky,
Camejo, Figueroa, and Nativo Lopez, could make a major difference;
something akin to Amy Goodman’s Democracy Now Program.
Having our own studio enables us to do a number of things:
a. Produce a first rate news analysis program
b. Produce documentaries on important social, political,
cultural, and intellectual issues.
c. Train Muslim youth in the media arts and sciences by
providing them hands-on training.
d. Highlight historical and contemporary Muslim cultures,
literatures and philosophical traditions.
However, we still need 15, 000 to take care of some final
items (insurance, software, video conferencing equipment,
furniture, etc). Please send your urgently-needed (tax-deductible)
contribution check to:
