Ahmad Adaya Passes Away
Los Angeles,
CA: Mr. Ahmad Adaya, a distinguished and prominent Pakistani-American,
passed away in Santa Monica, California, Sunday afternoon
February 12, 2006.
His namazae janaza was offered at the Islamic Society of Orange
County, Garden Grove, on Monday and he was laid to rest in
the Westminister Memorial Park.
In a message, the Council of Pakistan American Affairs (COPAA)
condoled the death of the late Mr Adaya. The message read:
“The Pakistani-American community today has lost one
of its grand supporters. Whether this was by his passionate
support of culture, museums, arts, history, or by his avid
support of politics, diplomacy, elected officials or by his
extremely generous support of business, community, charitable
organizations. Mr. Adaya was a loved, respected and admired
leader of the community.
“This ‘Great Man’ of the Pakistani-American
community will be missed for his zealous support, for his
wise counsel, for his inspiring leadership and for his fervent
vision.
“COPAA joins the community in expressing our profound
grief for this great loss, offering our prayers for him and
providing our words of solace to his family.”
