A fundraising dinner for Lt.
Governor Cruz Bustanmante of California was held at the Ruppee
Room Banquet Hall, city of Orange, CA on June 17 2006. The
dinner was organized by Bicky Singh and family. Lt. Governor
Cruz Bustamante is a candidate for the post of California
Insurance Commissioner in the forthcoming November elections.
Many prominent community leaders and organizations attended
the dinner. It was also attended by a Friends of Pakistan
(FOP) delegation headed by its President Sarfaraz Khan.
During his speech, the Lt. Governor said that California is
a most diverse place in the United states where more than
200 different languages are spoken. He was all praise for
the various hard-working ethnic groups who have contributed
to the development of the state. He asked the people to vote
for him in the November elections.
Sarfaraz Khan, President of Friends of Pakistan, announced
his and his organization’s support for the Lt. Governor.
Lt. Governor Bustanmante also performed the inauguration ceremony
of a book "California Dreams" written by Mr. Gurmukh
Singh.
