Wins Accolades again
Lakewood, NJ: Lakewood Pathology Associates,
Inc. (LPA) has once again been named one of the top 25 fastest-growing,
privately-held companies in South New Jersey by the Philadelphia
Business Journal and the Rowan University’s Rohrer
College of Business and Rowan’s Center for Innovation
& Entrepreneurship. LPA ranked number six among the
companies earning this distinction, up from 11 last year.
Lakewood Pathology is a full-service national provider of
multi-specialty pathology services to clinicians operating
in outpatient surgical settings in more than 21 states.

Recognizing the company’s strong growth and momentum,
last month Water Street Capital Partners, a Chicago-based
healthcare private equity firm, announced it had acquired
a majority ownership stake in LPA, committing $50 million
in equity financing. This investment will help further accelerate
LPA’s organic growth and secure market leadership
in the country.
This is the 11th year that Philadelphia Business Journal
has teamed up with Rowan University to rank the 25 fastest-growing
private companies in southern New Jersey. Rowan researchers
rank companies based on revenue growth between 2003 and
2005. The top 25 companies were honored at an awards luncheon
Tuesday, June 13, 2006.
