Protest Planned during Musharraf’s Visit

Washington, DC: A number of Pakistani groups, which are likely to be joined by others, are planning a rally during President Musharraf’s forthcoming visit to New York to protest the killing of Nawab Akbar Bugti. The rally will take place on September 18 opposite Roosevelt Hotel, where the president is expected to stay. The organizations which have announced to stage the protest include the Sindhi Association of North America and the Asian-American Network Against the Abuse of Human Rights.
