Aligarh Muslim University Alumni Association of Northern
California is organizing “EK SHAAM TALAT MAHMOOD KE
NAAM”, featuring Khalid Mahmood (son of legendary
Talat Mahmood) on Friday, April 20, 2007 (7:00-10-30 PM)
at the India Community Center, 555 Los Coches St., Milpitas,
CA 95035.
Khalid Mahmood will regale Talat fans, singing the evergreen
hits of his golden voiced father and recalling memorable
incidents he remembers of his father through the years,
in 10 concerts across USA, in cities like New York, Birmingham,
Atlanta, Chicago, Detroit, San Antonio, Boston, Cleveland,
Harrisburg, and San Francisco during April- May, 2007.
Khalid Mahmood’s concerts dedicated to his father
titled are being talked about enthusiastically by music
lovers as well as the Press, as listening to Talat hits
from Talat's own flesh and blood is a completely different
experience than listening it from someone else! The concerts
began in New York on 7 April '07. In earlier concerts in
Geneva (Switzerland ), London and other cities Khalid got
a standing ovation from the audience.
Khalid who is a 'chip of the old block’ has a remarkable
resemblance to his illustrious father and has many mannerisms
reminiscent of his world famous father. With a voice which
has the same unique quality as his father, Khalid transports
the audience to the era of golden music, singing one Talat
hit after the other! Many in the audience feel they catch
a glimpse of the great Talat Mahmood himself through his
son!

The AMU Alumni Association is a nonprofit organization founded
