Extend Condolences to Families of Virginia Tech Victims
The Pakistani American Congress joined
by its 71 affiliate member organizations across the nation,
“strongly and unequivocally condemns the savage shooting
rampage by a mentally deranged student Cho Seung-Hui at
Virginia Tech Campus that took 32 precious lives and devastated
countless families,” says a PAC press release . It
adds: This unbelievable incident rocked America with shock
and awe where every heart is aching and every eye is moist.
We offer our heartfelt condolences for the departed souls
and express our deep sympathy, sorrow and solidarity with
the injured survivors and the families of the victims and
the Virginia Tech Campus community. We condemn this horrible
attack and join our fellow Americans in this hour of grief
, disbelief, shock and sorrow. We denounce in strong terms
this act of cowardice and barbarism that resulted in loss
of precious lives who envisioned a great career ahead. Taking
an innocent life is against the universal human values and
deserves strongest condemnation by people of all faiths,
races and denominations across the globe. Never again..
It is very encouraging that fellow Americans have demonstrated
restraint and did not implicate any religion or nationality
with this act of terror. It should be resolved that an act
of terror against innocent people has no room in the civilized
human society and no identification because the man behind
such inhuman and heinous crime is faceless, has no nationality,
no religion and no conscience…”
PAL-C:
The Pakistani American Leadership Center (PAL-C) strongly
condemns the massacre of thirty-two Virginia Tech students
that took place at the hands of a fellow-student, says an
email message received by Pakistan Link. It adds: “Cho
Seung-Hui, a deeply disturbed twenty-three year old who
was a resident of Virginia, began his murder spree in the
early hours of April 16 and it finally ended when he took
his own life…
“PAL-C, on behalf of the Pakistani-American
community, extends its condolences and deepest sympathies
to the victims, their families and friends. Our prayers
are with the families, students and faculty of Virginia
Tech, and the residents of Blacksburg, Virginia.
FOP: ”The Friends of Pakistan send
our condolences to the families of the victims and the Virginia
Tech Campus community. We condemn this horrible attack and
join our fellow Americans in this hour of grief. We in the
Pakistani-American community express our ‘horror and
disbelief and sorrow’ on this tragedy of monumental
proportions. – Sarfaraz Khan, President, Friends of
Pakistan, USA.”
