Essay Competition
The Pakistan Founders Celebration Committee (PFCC) has invited students of Pakistan descent to participate in its Student Essay Competition and write an informative essay on ANY ONE of the following topics: 1. Challenges and struggles faced by Pakistan before her creation in 1947 and today. 2. What would it take for Pakistan to acquire political stability and become a truly sovereign state? 3. The struggle for Pakistan from the 1857 War of Independence, through 1947 and today’s struggle for judicial independence. Essay Guidelines The essay can be written in English or Urdu and should be between 1000 and 5000 words. Please submit the essay with the Scholarship Application Form Download Scholarship Application Form. Please email your essay to: essay.competition@yahoo.com, and cc to admin@pfcc.us. You can also contact PFCC at (408) 355-5459 with any questions that you have. Deadline for submitting the essay is December 15, 2007. Cash Scholarship Awards There are three scholarship awards in each of the following three categories: Middle school students, high school students and College/university students. 1st award $500 2nd award $300 3rd award $200 Scholarships will be announced and awarded at the PFCC 4th Annual Banquet to be held at Chandni Restaurant, Ballantine Plaza, 5748 Mowry School Rd, Newark, California on Tuesday, December 25th 2007, at 6pm.
