In the Community Hall
of Lions Center located in the city of Rancho Cucamonga, the
Islamic Center of Inland Empire arranged the awards ceremony
for the graduating kids and the teachers and volunteers of
the school, on June 16th, 2007.
The day started with an awards ceremony for all the graduating
kids. Sister Deana did a wonderful job of conducting the whole
ceremony in high spirits. She was a natural choice being the
most popular among all the young kids, who always followed
her lead to respond “Allah-u-Akbar” to her calls
for “Takbir”.
A
group of students |
A select group of students
from each graduating class presented a heart-warming recital
of the verses from the Holy Qur’an. All the kids recited
very well, but Sister Sehar’s team of students was definitely
the most impressive group on stage. May Allah reward her.
After the kids, it was time for the teachers and the volunteers
to get their due recognition for a marvelous job done all
year long, with limited resources at hand. Afterwards, all
families with their kids headed back to the Islamic Center
of Inland Empire, conveniently located just across the street.
Delicious food for all and fun games for every age group provided
a very good family atmosphere. Islamic Center of Inland Empire’s
administration deserves a hearty thank you note from the whole
community of Inland Empire for doing such a good job for the
local Muslim families.
