The Tustin Youth Cricket Organization
celebrated its second year anniversary with a good turnout
at the Orange County’s Tustin Tiller Days Community
Fair. The Tustin Youth Cricket Team marched in the Tiller
Days Fair parade and also managed a booth which provided a
chance to the visitors to meet the coaches, learn about the
program, and register.
The visitors met members of the Youth Cricketers and the coach,
Abid Hussain, who is also the founder of the Tustin Youth
Cricket Organization. Hussain played as wicketkeeper and opening
batsman for the US national team. He is also an ICC-certified
coach and umpire.
Much has been accomplished by the Tustin Youth Cricket this
year. An important feature was the group’s participation
in the US National Cricket Tournament in Tustin, where Tustin
Youth Cricket Team beat the US National-Under-Thirteen Team.
The Cricket movement in America has just begun and the City
of Tustin has embraced this historic opportunity. Tustin Youth
Cricket was created with the support of the City of Tustin
and the Tustin Parks and Recreation Department. Learn more
about the program and register interested boys and girls for
the Fall classes. For further information call the City at
