Dr Zaffar Iqbal to Head
ANAA
Dr Zaffar Iqbal has been elected
President of the Asian American Network Against Abuse (ANAA)
at the ANAA board meeting held on September 15, 2007.
Dr Iqbal replaces Dr Amna Buttar who tendered her resignation
as she has joined the PPP of Benazir Bhutto. The board accepted
her resignation with regrets, acknowledgment of her services,
hopes that she will help empower the Human Rights section
of PPP, and persuade BB to take the violators of human rights
in the higher echelons of her party to task and expressions
of best wishes for her new venture.
