Shura Council Chairman’s Eid Message
Anaheim: On behalf of everyone at the Islamic Shura Council, I extend my most heartfelt greetings for a joyous Eid al Adha to you, your family and your community.
Hajj reminds us to transcend ourselves from our comfort zones and to engage in our collective struggle for the common good of humanity. The life and legacy of Prophet[s] Ibrahim and Muhammad and their families (may Allah be pleased with all of them in perpetuity) offers an inspiring model to emulate.
On this joyous occasion, let us also take time to reflect on the suffering of millions of innocent people in various places of conflict. And let us pray for those who returned to God Almighty and also for those who are unable to exercise the freedom to worship and celebrate Eid al Adha as they richly deserve.
Let us continue to work together in alleviating the suffering of all people and upholding the universal values of our faith at all times.
I urge you to be active in your local Masajid and remain engaged for the common good of all, especially in the welfare of your city and neighborhood.
Once again, I wish you a very happy Eid al Adha.
Prayerfully,
Dr. Muzammil Siddiqi
Chairman
