OPEN Showcases Pakistani Technology Companies

Palo Alto, CA: On the evening of January 22, 2008, OPEN Silicon Valley played host to Pakistan Software Export Board’s (PSEB) delegation comprising of the leading IT companies in Pakistan.
The event provided an opportunity to OPEN members to meet Pakistani companies of all sizes across a range of technology areas, including semiconductors, software development, and digital media.
Mr Yusuf Hussain, the Managing Director of PSEB, while addressing the gathering of the prominent entreprenuers and leaders of Silicon Valley in the fields of Banking, Telecommunication, Energy, Bio- Science, Medical and other sectors, described the opportunities that exist in Pakistan for investment, development and talent recruiting in the IT sector.
As hosts, members of the OPEN Silicon Valley sought to enable visitors’ business relationships with key stakeholders in Silicon Valley. “Silicon Valley leads the world in innovation and entrepreneurship, and Pakistani-American entrepreneurs play a significant role in innovation and economic vitality of Silicon Valley, especially in the high-tech sector. Our initiative for the Pakistani ventures, is an excellent opportunity for Pakistani entrepreneurs to connect with leaders of Silicon Valley’s success stories – and get guidance on how to grow and expand their ventures globally”, said Mr Dilawar A. Syed, President of OPEN Silicon Valley.
