Benazir’s Book to Be Launched on February 20

Washington, DC: Former premier Benazir Bhutto’s book, the one she put together with the help of her long-time friend and associate Mark Siegel in the last few months of her life, will be released here on February 20 at the National Press Club.

Titled ‘Reconciliation: Islam, Democracy, and the West’ embodies her vision for the Islamic world, according to Siegel. She completed it just before her assassination on December 27 last year in Rawalpindi.

     

 The launch is being hosted by the National Book Club’s Book and Author Committee on the evening of February 20. The event is expected to be “very well attended”, according to a National Book Club source.
