PPP Calls for UN Enquiry

PPP Leader Muhammad Khalid Awan has called on the governments of the USA, Canada and the EU to request a full United Nations inquiry into Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto’s assassination.  Contacting both their legislative and executive branches, Mr Awan emphasized the need for the investigation to be held by a UN agency so that it would not have the taint of bias and would be accepted by PPP leadership, workers and the international community. 
He expressed hope that an accurate and complete investigation would help to restore stability and peace in the country.  He also urged them to use their influence to make sure that the upcoming elections would be held in a free and fair manner and that real democracy would be restored in Pakistan.
