Impressive Flag-Hoisting Ceremony in Washington
Washington, DC: Tthe Embassy of Pakistan, Washington DC celebrated the 68th National Day of Pakistan with traditional enthusiasm and fervor. Pakistan’s Charge d’Affaires Mr. M. Aslam Khan hoisted the national flag and the national anthem was played in the presence of a large number of Pakistani-American community members and officials of the Embassy. The proceedings began with a recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an. The messages of the President and the Prime Minister were read by the Charge d’Affaires on the occasion.
In his message, the President called on the Nation to demonstrate unity, faith and discipline in their lives to attain its rightful place in the comity of nations.
The Prime Minister in his message urged the Nation to place national unity and integrity above everything else to build a prosperous and stable future.
As part of the Pakistan Day celebrations an exhibition of paintings by renowned Pakistani artist Jimmy Engineer was held at the chancery. The Exhibition was inaugurated on Mar19 . The three-day exhibition attracted a large number of visitors to view various facets of the country’s culture. The exhibition provided an opportunity to people to learn about Pakistan’s rich culture and heritage.
