Arizona State Assembly Legislatures Inaugurated with Recitation from the Holy Qur’an

It was on the first of May 2008 that a moment of attention prevailed in the State of Arizona House of Representative Assembly Hall. The event was the recitation of the Qur’anic verses and prayers for the inauguration of the State legislatures, its elected representatives and law makers. The verses reminded bounties of Allah SWT and the resurrection of the worldly creatures.
While bowing their heads in intense listening, the state lawmakers were very graceful in having the recitation and prayers before the start of their session.
The prayer was arranged by Arizona Sate Legislature Representative Kyrsten Sinema and the Democratic Party Leader Dr. Arif Kazmi.
Hafiz Ghufran-ullah Shah of Phoenix led the prayers and its English translation.
