COPAA Condemns Suicide Attack in Islamabad
The Council of Pakistan American Affairs has strongly condemned the suicide attack at the Marriott Hotel in Islamabad on Saturday, September 20, killing at least 53 people and wounding more than 260. “There is no place for such horrific and senseless acts of violence that kill innocent individuals and target fellow citizens, “ says a COPAA press release.
It adds: COPAA expresses its deepest solidarity and sympathy with those who lost their loved ones in the attack. The Council urges the Pakistani government to take all appropriate security measures to ensure the safety of all the citizens and the foreigners. Despite this tragic attack, the Council firmly believes that Pakistan's journey towards a stronger, dynamic and more tolerant democratic state will continue.
