Dr Nasim Ashraf Resigns from NCHD

Islamabad: Dr Nasim Ashraf, Chairman, National Commission for Human Development (NCHD), resigned from his office last Tuesday.
In his resignation letter Dr Ashraf stated that he had been privileged to serve the people of Pakistan since 2002 as NCHD chairman. “However, I feel that it is appropriate that a new person be appointed by the new government to this challenging position.”
He thanked his colleagues for their support, listed NCHD achievements, and expressed the hope that the Commission would continue to function despite financial constraints.
