Haqqani Decorates Hashim Khan

 

Washington, DC: Pakistan's ambassador to the United States Husain Haqqani decorated squash legend Hashim Khan with Sitara-e-Imtiaz on August 25. The investiture ceremony took place at Denver, Colorado, where the seven-time British Open champion now resides.
The ceremony was attended by hundreds of people including Americans, Pakistani expatriates and children and grandchildren of Hashim Khan. Eulogizing Khan's achievements, ambassador Haqqani noted the fact that he won the coveted British Open title for the first time at the age of 37. His success testified that Pakistan too can compete with the developed nations through commitment and unstinted efforts.
