Glimpses of the Mehfila-e-Milad

Roohi and Rashid Siddiqui, owners of Shalimar, a Pomona restaurant which has earned a name for its quality food and  glittering, spacious dining hall, arranged a well-attended Mehfila-e-Milad at their residence.
It was an impressive, soul-lifting religious function attended by the elite of the community.  Ummae Habiba, well-known naat khwan who has  received a high civil award for her oratory and recital of naats, graced the milad event. Her recitation of the Holy Qur'an and homage to the Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) moved every one present in the gathering.
Yasmin Riaz’s narration of  several ahadis in the august function too impressed the Milad attendees.
In her brief remarks on the occasion, Ummae Habiba stated that such soul-lifting events have the blessings of the Almighty and He would reward the gathering with his choicest blessings.
