CAIR-LA Accepting Citizenship Delay Cases

 
During the last few years, CAIR-LA has been flooded with complaints regarding citizenship delays. We have heard from community members who have applied for citizenship, have had their interviews, and then have heard nothing from the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), other than that their application is pending an "FBI background check." 
In response, CAIR has launched an initiative to help process citizenship delay cases. CAIR has been working with individuals affected by USCIS's unjustified delays in the processing of naturalization applications of Muslims and those from Muslim-majority countries.
