COPAA Recognizes Mortenson as Humanitarian Par Excellence

 
Pasadena, CA: At a fund-raising evening, Greg Mortenson was duly recognized for his efforts to educate the children of Pakistan. The hall was packed to capacity and saw the Consul General of Pakistan, Syed Ibne Abbas, and the Mayor of Pasadena, Bill Bogaard, present an award to Greg Mortenson on behalf of the Council of Pakistan American Affairs (COPAA).
"Greg’s journey of commitment and compassion helped change the lives of thousands of children by giving them access to education. COPAA board and the hundreds of Pakistani Americans present at the fund raising dinner were an affirmation of the love and respect that Greg has earned amongst Pakistanis, " said COPAA president, Mr.Adnan Khan.
