The Pakistan Association of San Francisco Bay Area held its general elections on February 22, 2009 at the Mehran Restaurant Newark.
The two candidates for the post of president - Mr. Shah and Mr. Moon - addressed the participants. They presented their views on strengthening PASF to meet future challenges.
The attendees were then requested to cast their votes. The voters demonstrated their confidence in Mr. Shah and elected him as the President of PASF.
The names of the new executive committee members are:
President: Muhammad Akhtar Shah;
Vice President: Afzal Chaudhry;
General Secretary: Muhammad Safdar;
Joint Secretary: Tariq Choudhry;
Treasurer: Ameen Shahzad.
Board Members: Syed Nusrat, Salma Ashraf, Imran Rahman, and Irfan Rahman, Romeel Quddous, and Nabeel Awan.
A new committee was elected to run the Association for the next two years. At the end, the newly elected members thanked the attendees. They expressed their resolve to work for the Association with dedication and provide improved services to the Pakistani Americans living in the San Francisco Bay Area, California.
