Anwar Khwaja Appointed Producer for JAZ Marketing

 

Mr. Anwar Khawaja has been appointed as the producer for JAZ Marketing, the exclusive West Coast representative of Indus TV Network. He will be responsible for all the programming for Indus TV Network on the west coast of the United States.

Mr. Arif Mansuri, the President and CEO of JAZ Marketing, which is also the parent company of Pakistan Link, has welcomed Mr. Khawaja and said, “We are very excited to have Mr. Khawja on our team. He brings a great wealth of knowledge and experience in the production of TV programming and we are looking forward to working with him!”

Mr. Khawaja was born in Abbottabad, Hazara. He obtained a Master’s Degree in Urdu from the Peshawar University in 1965. Subsequently, he obtained a diploma in TV production from the PTV Institute in Chaklala and joined PTV in 1968. He was sent to Germany in 1976 by PTV for courses in color TV production. Among the various very popular programs that he produced during his 13 years of employment with PTV, he directed and produced the first ever color program from Karachi Television Station, Kasoti. Mr. Khawaja produced this most famous PTV program, featuring Iftikhar Arif and Ubaid Ullah Baig, for almost five years. He was also responsible for the first ever Pashto programming from the Peshawar TV.

Mr. Khawaja is also a very accomplished writer. With five books to his name so far, he is a very popular figure in the Urdu literary circles.
