‘Fashions From The Indus’ to Benefit Irvine Public Schools Foundations

Irvine , CA : The Irvine Pakistani Parents Association (IPPA), in association with the Council of Pakistani American Affairs (COPAA), will be hosting a night of “Fashions From The Indus” featuring international designer Amir Adnan and his fall/winter collection. The event, to be held on November 7 th at the Irvine Hilton, is being organized to raise funds for the Irvine Public Schools Foundation (IPSF), a non-profit committed to working with Irvine communities to provide the very best educational opportunities.

 “Fashion From The Indus will showcase one of the very best from South Asia and it is a chance for us to also share the colors of our heritage with our neighbors” said Farah Ahmed, President of the IPPA. “Our community is very excited about this event and we have received great support from the IPSF, as well as Mayor Sukhee Kang’s office.” IPPA Founder and IPSF board member, Anila Ali is confident that the fashion extravaganza will be unique in style, a treat for the residents of Irvine, and ultimately help the IPPA raise thousands of dollars for the IPSF and its effort to diversify education programs.

The IPPA helps inform parents to better understand the issues that directly affect students and Pakistani parents of Irvine public schools. The IPPA is focused on engaging parents with the Irvine public schools and the IPSF, as well as other associations, embracing parent programs that parallel the mission and goals of the Irvine public schools, and to identify and develop parent leadership as part of the Irvine public schools family.
