MITHAAS Opens in Jersey City
Jersey City , NJ: MITHAAS, the first restaurant in New Jersey to transform traditional Indian fast food into a modern dining experience, has opened its new location on Newark Avenue in Jersey City. The opening was celebrated with a launch party, guests of which included the who’s who of the South Asian community along with the major media houses covering the event.
An extension of the Oaktree branch, Mithaas Jersey City offers the traditional fare and has also added new specialty items like Raj Kachori Chaat, Kashmiri Aloo Tikki, mouth-watering Paani-Poori, Thalis and a special club sandwich.
“We want to cater to the varied Jersey City palate, so have also added South Indian delicacies,” said Kamal Arora, the brainchild behind the Mithaas concept and the CEO of Moghul Catering.
Under his belt, Arora counts the wildly popular Urban Spice Restaurant and the Moghul Express eatery on Oaktree Road. The Mithaas in Jersey City is his first outing there and plans to feature popular Mumbai style street favorites like the Frankie and Dabeli.
Mithaas Jersey City is open for business and customers are treated not only to the delectable and strictly vegetarian food items but also to innovative thirst quenchers like Masala Soda, Rose Shake and the traditional Thandai, a quintessential summer favorite.
A perfect neighborhood hangout joint for traditional Indian mithais and snacks, Mithaas promises to be a welcome addition on Newark Avenue, poised to sensationalize the Indian row.
