Islamabad : President Asif Ali Zardari has condoled the death of K B Bhutto, a senior leader of the PPP US Chapter, who died in the United States on July 3. In a message  to the widow of K B Bhutto the President said that her husband will be long remembered for his services to the cause of democracy and the Party during the most trying and critical times.
The President said that K B Bhutto was a selfless and devoted worker of the Party. He was a great organizer of political events and has been in the in the forefront of the struggle waged by the US Chapter of the Party in support of democracy and against tyranny and dictatorship in the country. The services of Mr Khuda Bux Bhutto will be long remembered by the leaders and works of Pakistan Peoples Party, the President said. My sympathies are with you and members of the bereaved family, the President’s message said.

This scribe adds that the President of the Pakistan Peoples Party, California Mr. Khuda Bux Bhutto passed away in a San Francisco Bay Area hospital last Friday at 4:30 . He had suffered a stroke. Affectionately known as K.B. by his friends, Bhutto Sahib was one of the finest people whom I had the pleasure of meeting. A true “Jiyala” in every sense of the word, KB championed the cause of the PPP here in California for several years. As a confidante of Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto (few people were as close to her as KB), she visited northern California on his invitation on more than one occasion to address a carefully rejuvenated party. KB also hosted a number of other PPP leaders from Pakistan in this region including Makdoom Amin Fahim and Syed Naveed Qamar.

To the family of K.B. Bhutto especially Mrs. Najma Bhutto and their children, please accept our deepest condolences on your loss. And to the PPP which has lost one of its finest workers here, the void left behind is huge and will be difficult to fill. Just 55 years of age when he died, KB was full of energy and a dynamic part of the party. It has been people like him that have kept the Bhutto legacy alive in Pakistan .   K.B. Bhutto Sahib, we will miss you dearly. Inna Llillahi Wa Inna Ilaihi Rajioon.
